DIVIDE & CONQUER

For many people, this phrase sounds familiar.

He may also have a negative ring to it. A tactic used to gain power.

We mostly encounter the expression in a context of “struggle. With or without violence.

If you apply this tactic in a slightly different setting, struggle within yourself, it suddenly becomes less negative.

No one likes to feel or be powerless. When you have a problem you can feel it as a huge mountain that seems uncontrollable. The courage sinks in. You think you can’t do it. That you don’t BECOME it.

Maybe you walk around it with a wide bow. Deep down, you know that one day you will have to face it.

The feeling of powerlessness, the feeling of having no control, that this problem evokes, can cause all sorts of things. Stress, panic, procrastination, insecurity and, in extreme cases, isolation, shame, isolation, burnout or depression.

If you split the whole into parts (divide) and examine them separately, there are always parts you can influence. Seeing this concretely before you gives a sense of control. You can do something and see where to start in addressing the problem.

The mountain that was before you and knocked you “out of the game” has been reduced to manageable chunks and you find new energy to be “in the game” again. You have new confidence and can feel that you can do this.

You have it “in your power” again! Being ruler of your own problem means having a challenge instead of a problem. After such a piece of research, by the way, you may feel very tired, as if you had fought a battle. And it actually is.

The application of this tactic, divide & conquer, takes away the feeling of powerlessness. Even if in reality nothing has changed about the situation (yet). But THEY no longer control your client. Your client is in control of HET. A world of difference.

Application of these tactics can be done on a Bepper board.
